Uttarakhand to Levy Green Tax on Non-Local Vehicles from Dec 2025

Uttarakhand is introducing a new Green Tax from December 2025 which applies to vehicles registered outside of the state. This is part state’s effort to manage state pollution and protect the environment. The Green Tax is going to utilize Advanced Number Plate Recognition technology and thus avoid creating additional delay to the travelers.
