TAP Air Portugal Expands Routes with New Porto–Terceira Flights and Increased Porto–Funchal Services

TAP Air Portugal is significantly enhancing its regional connectivity by launching a new Porto-Terceira route and increasing the frequency of flights between Porto and Funchal starting March 29, 2026. This strategic expansion aims to meet the growing demand for both leisure and business travel while further strengthening the airline’s role in linking Porto with the Azores and Madeira. The new Porto-Terceira service, along with the added flights to Funchal, will provide travelers with more convenient options, supporting tourism, economic growth, and regional integration in Portugal. TAP Air Portugal is taking significant steps to strengthen its services between Porto and the Azores, as well as Madeira, by introducing a new route between Porto and Terceira on March 29, 2026. This new route will operate with four weekly flights and will significantly enhance connectivity between mainland Portugal and the autonomous regions, underscoring TAP’s commitment to providing increased mobility options for travelers. The new Porto-Terceira route will be operated with a modern A320neo aircraft, which can accommodate 168 passengers. The flight will be available four times a week: Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. TAP is strategically scheduling the flight times to make it convenient for both business and leisure travelers. The flight will depart from Porto at 15:20, arriving in Terceira at 17:00, with a return flight leaving Terceira at 17:50 and arriving in Porto at 21:15, all times are local.
