The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has launched a pilot phase of the One-Point Air Travellers project, a groundbreaking initiative in collaboration with Bahrain aimed at transforming cross-border air travel. This new system, set to simplify the travel experience, enables citizens of both countries to complete essential entry procedures at their departure airport, allowing for smoother arrivals and drastically reducing airport congestion. By eliminating the need for lengthy checks upon landing, the initiative aims to streamline travel, reduce waiting times, and enhance the overall travel experience for passengers.
Currently, the pilot phase of the One-Point Air Travellers project is being implemented at Zayed International Airport in Abu Dhabi and Bahrain International Airport. These airports serve as the testing grounds for this innovative project, which is expected to eventually expand across other airports in both nations.
