WTTC and UAE Summit Chart the Future of Global Tourism

The World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) and the World Governments Summit Organization (WGS), an arm of the Prime Minister’s Office of the United Arab Emirates, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) framing their new strategic collaboration. The aim is to develop innovations and set directions for the future of the Travel & Tourism sector on the international scale. The agreement represents a major step towards stronger cooperation between governments and the private sector at a time when the tourism industry is undergoing rapid change. The partnership is designed to create a stronger framework for collaboration, allowing policymakers, business leaders and global experts to work together on solutions that can improve resilience, encourage innovation and support long-term growth across the travel ecosystem. The global Travel & Tourism industry is facing a period of significant transformation. Advances in technology, rising sustainability expectations, changing traveller behaviour and evolving workforce requirements are reshaping how destinations and businesses operate. Through this new collaboration, WTTC and WGS aim to strengthen communication between industry leaders and governments to address these challenges while identifying new opportunities for growth.
