India & Thailand Extend 60-Day Visa-Free Travel

India has joined Thailand in extending visa-free access for Indian nationals, now allowing stays of up to 60 days, starting from February 13, 2026. This extension is designed to enhance tourism, facilitate business travel, and support remote workers, all of whom can now enjoy longer stays with a simplified entry process. By eliminating the previous 30-day cap and enabling more flexible stays, Thailand aims to attract higher-spending tourists, repeat visitors, and digital nomads. This change not only fosters greater economic activity but also strengthens the growing relationship between India and Thailand, making travel more accessible for a wide range of travellers. In a significant move that promises to revolutionize travel between India and Thailand, the Thai government has officially extended its visa-free stay for Indian nationals. From February 13, 2026, Indian passport holders can now enjoy a visa-free stay of up to 60 days, doubling the previous allowance of 30 days. This development marks a momentous step in strengthening the ties between the two nations, offering a more seamless travel experience for both leisure and business travellers alike. The reform, part of Thailand’s broader efforts to attract more tourists and business travellers, also includes a simplified process for entry. Indian visitors will be required to complete the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) prior to departure, showcasing proof of accommodation and a return or onward ticket. This electronic system allows travellers to skip the lengthy visa-on-arrival queues and associated fees, making the entry process smoother and more efficient.
