Phuket Hosts Major 2026 Global Conferences

In 2026, Phuket is expected to reinforce its status as an international MICE destination by hosting three international conferences. These conferences will feature the island’s commitment to sustainability, wellness, and diversity, thus reiterating its status as a world-class destination for international conferences. The Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) has assisted Phuket in winning the bids to host these important conferences, which are in line with the development strategy of the province and make it a model MICE destination. Key Global Conferences to Propel Phuket’s MICE Industry Forward The first event in 2026 is the Global Sustainable Tourism Conference (GSTC), which will take place from April 21–24 at the Royal Phuket City Hotel and Courtyard by Marriott Phuket Town. This important conference will promote the advancement of global sustainability goals and serve as a platform for international thought leaders in the tourism industry. In addition to the GSTC, InterPride’s General Meeting & World Conference will take place in Phuket, emphasizing the island’s commitment to LGBTQIA+ rights and diversity. Thailand’s marriage equality law and ongoing efforts towards gender recognition will be featured prominently at the event. Finally, the Global Wellness Summit (GWS) 2026 will open up new business opportunities for Phuket in the growing wellness tourism sector.
