Japan is offering deals to foreign visitors. These include hotel discounts and tour savings outside the city center.
Fukuoka Prefecture wants tourists to see more than just the urban area. To support this goal, they created a new tourism campaign that provides discounts on regional tours as well as accommodation. The campaign launched in July 2026 and focuses on visitors to areas outside Fukuoka City and Kitakyushu. That means visitors to those areas spend their money in smaller, less visited areas. International visitors who book campaign approved accommodation will receive a 3,000 yen discount per person, per night. Tourists will also be able to book select half price regional bus tours. The campaign aims to increase regional tourism and expand the length of stays to that particular region. The accommodation part of the campaign runs until February 2027.
