Today was a memorable and deeply transformative “free day” for the young adult pilgrims from Saskatoon. The day provided the group with a rare opportunity to step away from their usual itinerary and embrace a day of exploration, reflection, and connection with their faith in one of the world’s most spiritual cities. This group of 13 pilgrims, who had already experienced a deeply enriching pilgrimage, took full advantage of the free day by visiting Castel Gandolfo, the Pope’s summer residence, located just southeast of Rome.
