Air Arabia Launches Sharjah-Addis Ababa Non-Stop Flights, Enhancing UAE-Africa Connectivity
Air Arabia has announced the launch of a new non-stop flight service connecting Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, to Addis Ababa, the capital city of Ethiopia. The new service is set to begin on January 30, 2025, and will operate three times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. The flights will link Sharjah International Airport with Addis Ababa Bole International Airport, expanding the airline’s growing network of destinations.
According to the announcement, Air Arabia’s decision to launch the Addis Ababa route is part of the airline’s ongoing strategy to enhance connectivity and offer more travel options for its customers. The company’s CEO, Adel Al Ali, expressed enthusiasm about adding Addis Ababa to their network, emphasizing that the new service would not only foster stronger economic ties but also promote cultural exchanges between the UAE and Ethiopia. Al Ali highlighted that the route expansion aims to serve as a bridge for trade and tourism, boosting both sectors for the two countries.
