Destinations International (DI), the leading global association for destination organizations and convention and visitors bureaus (CVBs), has unveiled the Website Impact Calculator (WIC) in collaboration with Tourism Economics. This innovative tool aims to measure the economic impact of destination marketing organization (DMO) websites on local economies, offering actionable insights to enhance digital marketing strategies and visitor engagement.
The Website Impact Calculator is a user-friendly platform designed to help DMOs understand the direct economic influence of their websites. By analyzing the conversion of online visitors into actual travelers, the tool quantifies local spending, job creation, and tax revenue generated through website-driven traffic.
