Malaysia’s Common Ground Expands, Joining Asia’s Largest Workspace Network
Malaysia’s leading flexible workspace operator, Common Ground, significantly expanded its presence in 2024 by adding approximately 100,000 square feet to its portfolio through its Enterprise Solutions offerings and the launch of new locations across Kuala Lumpur. As part of The Flexi Group—one of Asia and Australia’s largest flexible workspace providers with over 45 managed locations in 11 citis—Common Ground continues to strengthen its position in the region.
The expansion reflects the growing demand for flexible work environments in Malaysia, catering to both small businesses and large enterprises. Of the new space added in 2024, around 50,000 square feet was facilitated by Common Ground’s Enterprise Solutions, which allow companies to create bespoke workspaces tailored to their needs. These workspaces can be located within The Flexi Group’s network or at custom sites chosen by clients. This adds to the approximately 100,000 square feet of custom-built enterprise spaces that Common Ground already manages for multinational clients across Malaysia.
The first Enterprise Solution delivered in 2024 launched in March, when Common Ground partnered with a prominent Malaysian clean-energy company to design, build, and manage its new 45,000-square-foot headquarters in Kuala Lumpur City Centre (KLCC). Another milestone followed in August 2024, when Common Ground collaborated with a global technology services firm to establish its 6,000-square-foot Malaysian headquarters at Menara Shell.
