India And The Philippines Work Towards Launching Direct Flights In 2025

India and the Philippines are set to launch direct flights in 2025, strengthening tourism and trade ties while making travel between the two nations easier.During the Republic Day celebration of India in Taguig City on Monday, January 27, Indian Ambassador to the Philippines, Shri Harsh Kumar Jain, emphasized the potential for strengthening bilateral relations between the two nations. He pointed out that the expected launch of direct flights in the coming months could play a crucial role in enhancing connectivity and cooperation. The introduction of non-stop flights is expected to boost trade, tourism, and people-to-people exchanges. To facilitate this, India’s flag carrier, Air India, and budget airline, IndiGo, are being considered to operate direct routes between the two countries. This move is anticipated to provide convenience for travelers and encourage more Indians to visit the Philippines.
